ah wow, it looks awesome, great job on its whole head/mane design.

First draw the final form, then draw this form based on traits from both sides. That's the easiest way.

Of course you can just do them normally and add more details each time you ascend the chain, but if you're not careful you'll end up with a really ugly final form full of unnecessary details.

Actual comment to the design.

Tail is especially awesome, mid-open like it should be. Though, I'd suggest putting tiny yellow circles scattered around the end of the tail [getting more and more in numbers towards the darker green area, where they suddenly disappear]. If not in this form, then in the next one, since it gives off a flower maturity feeling.
I noticed it's Grass/Dark? It has absolutely zero signs of being a Dark type. You should add that in the next form or something, then add the type then. I really don't see how such a design could develop to being Dark though, you might wanna alter this one a little to fit. If the flower at the tail opens to be really stinky kind of thing, it could be a nice Poison type, like Venosaur [sp?].
Finally, the face. Eyes are a little twisted, and those things sticking out of its cheeks.. might wanna keep that at 2. If the cheeks feel empty then you can add some kind of pattern, but it really feels exaggerated with that huge one.

thanks for your...really long comment lol. thanks for your constructive criticism! its always good to get that too. i didn't really get your first comment at first but i've already done about a million different designs for Leochre. i actually drew the final one yesterday and it looks great! its not too complicated. I think I'll keep it as a dark type coz its supposed to be a bit evil and I suppose you could say Stunky or Nuzleaf don't really look dark-type but they are. But the next form does look evil its all roaring with a menacing thing going on . The flower on its tail, is actually an unripened strawberry bytheway. But I agree with you on the whole whisker thing I'll probably re-draw it when I got the time!!

When you redraw the final piece, you might wanna use Photoshop or something. At least, clean the black outlines to be more smooth and unified.
Still, about the type, I dunno. It could really work if you changed the yellow patterns to dark blue-greenish color. Speaking of which, it'd make more sense to me if the inside of his ears were lighter/darker green instead of that yellow.
Overall, I forgot to mention, this really kicks ass. It's awesome. Better than most of Pokepages [though he did a lot] in the very least.

And sorry if it wasn't clear [as you said, I don't think I myself understand what I wrote in the first post], I just tend to use shitty grammar and didn't use English for quite some time now.

i did use photoshop! but pokepages tutorial says he draws the lines and then scans it all in, i still can't figure how he gets his lines so smooth!?!
